The Role of End-of-Life Doulas in the Community

End-of-life doulas (sometimes called death doulas) provide non-medical, holistic support to individuals and families as they prepare for the final stage of life.
This session offers a clear, practical overview of what doulas do, what they do not do, and how doula support can complement other professional services. We will review common doula services, common misconceptions, professional boundaries, and what
doula training typically emphasizes.
Participants will learn what to expect from doula support, when it may be helpful, and practical questions to ask when seeking services or considering doula training in the future.
This course is appropriate for adults who are curious about end-of-life doulas, those planning ahead for themselves or a loved one, and those considering training as a doula.
